- 1900 Census Lewis E. was 6 years old and in hh of parents.
- 1910 Census L. E. was 16 years old and in hh of parents living in Police Jury Ward 4, St. Helena Parish, Louisiana, father R. C. was age 75 and Sarah J. was age 52.
1920 Census he is listed as L. E. Daniel age 24 and Nina age 22 in Amite, Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana with 2 children. Norris age 3 and Maxwell age 2. Social Security Claims Index has him listed as Louis E. Daniels and the World War II Draft Registration Card has him listed as Louis Edward Daniels in the year 1942.
