Biography

William was born in Eastport, Washington, Maine, April 28, 1811, the son of Dr. William Daugherty, of Greenwich, Massachusetts, and Nancy Maxcy, of Maine. ^[1]

William Daugherty and Elvira Osborn declared their intention to marry April 27, 1842, and were married 12 May 1842. ^[2]

Regarding their one-time house on Main Street, East Side in Hatfield, MA:
It "was built by Hiram Marsh, [and] was long the home of William Dougherty <sic>, a painter. His wife was Elvira B. Osborn of Hadley. Their children all removed from Hatfield."^[3]

William died in Hatfield, Massachusetts, 27 Dec 1888. ^{[1] [4]}
