In 1841, Ann (34) was living in Summershard with her parents, Joseph (65y) and Mary (50y); her siblings, Susan (12y), Henry (10y), and William (8y); and Ann Davies (35y), Fanny Davies (28y), Martha Davies (25y), Rebecca Davies (20y), George Davies (15y), Emma Davies (1y), and Charles Masters (15y). In 1861, Ann (54)'s occupation was 'straw bonnet maker'. She was living in household of Fanny Davies (46) in Cornhill, SOUTH PETHERTON in South Petherton registration district in Somerset with her daughter, Edith (18); and Emma Godden (22, boarder). [2]
Research Notes
I believe Ann was blind from birth. In the 1861 Census she is noted as being blind and receiving Parish Relief.
In the 1861 Census, Fanny is listed as Ann’s sister in law, I believe she was her sister (see 1841 Census).
