Biography

William was born on 23 Sep 1770 in Harpers Ferry, Washington, Maryland. He was the son of George Davis and Sarah Ann (Drake) Davis.

When Rev. William "Billy" Davis was born on September 23, 1770, in Frederick, Maryland, his father, Benjamin George Davis, was 38 and his mother, Sarah Ann Drake, was 28. He married Nancy Norton on October 16, 1788, in Axton, Virginia. They had eight children in 14 years. He died on August 13, 1836, in Leatherwood, Virginia, at the age of 65, and was buried in Axton, Virginia.
