William was born in 1850. He was the son of Lester Davis and Clarissa Roe. He passed away in 1926.

He married 1st 20 Feb 1879 to Carrie M. Overton, daughter of Daniel T. and Charry (Hawkins) Overton. She was born 19 Nov. 1857, d. 20 Mar 1893. No children recorded.

He married 2nd 5 Dec 1894 to Annie M. Smith, daughter of William Floyd and Clarissa (Darling) Smith. She was born 8 Nov 1863, d. ?. They had:
