Biography

Marguerite (DeMond) Davis is a part of US Black heritage.

Marguerite L. Demond was born in 1907.^[1][2] She attended Avery Normal Institute in Charleston, South Carolina. She attended Syracuse University in 1931. She came to Washington, D.C., with her mother in 1932, after the death of her father. There she was a researcher for Carter G. Woodson's Association for the Study of African American Life and History.^[3]

Marguerite married John P. Davis November 10, 1932, in Manhattan, New York.^[4]

She passed away in 1978.^[5][6] She was buried at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, Bonita, San Diego County, California.^[7]
