Biagio de Luca is born around 1823 in Corleone, the son of Giovanni de Luca and Rosalia Catania.
Biagio's father has died by the 1834 census:
Rosalia de Luca, a widow, 48 (b. 1786), and her children Giuseppe, 21 (b. 1813), Calogera, 16 (b. 1818), Matteo, 14 (b. 1820), and Biagio, 11 (b. 1823), live in the second vanella in the San Giuliano quarter.[1]
Biagio marries at least twice, first to Giovanna Giunta, daughter of the late Francesco Giunta and the living Santa Piranio, on 13 January 1850.[2]
Biagio remarries to Francesca Lavenuta, daughter of Arcangelo Lavenuta and Francesca Saltaformaggio, on 11 September 1853.[3]
Biagio and Francesca Paola have at least one child, Giuseppa (c. 1862).
Giuseppa marries Salvatore Riina on 5 November 1882.[4]
Death
Biagio, a peasant, dies at the reported age of 70 on 11 March 1893 in Corleone. He is survived by his second wife, Francesca Paola.[5]
