Biography

Sophia Mary Dean was born on 12th August 1836 in Richmond, New South Wales, Australia as the first child of William Dean and Elizabeth Maun.

When she was 14, she married Edward Allen on 14th August 1850 in St Peter's Church of England, Richmond.^[1] in Richmond.

Sophia and Edward had the following twelve children in the Richmond, MacDonald River and Wollombi districts of New South Wales:
