Marcus Conner Dellinger was born 26 Nov 1835 in Lincoln County, North Carolina.[1] He was a carpenter. He is the son of Jacob Dellinger and Sarah E Setzer.[2]
In 1860 he is listed as house carpenter for William McLain in Lincoln County, North Carolina.[3]
M C Dellinger married Harriett R Nance 24 Apr 1861 in Lincoln County, North Carolina.[4]

Marcus C Dellinger was a Corporal in Company C, 37th North Carolina Infantry, CSA.[5][6]
Marcus enlisted 15 Aug 1862 at Gaston, North Carolina.
Marcus was promoted to Corporal 15 Mar 1863. He was wounded 13 Dec 1862 in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
He was imprisoned near Petersburg, Virginia 2 Apr 1865.[7]
In 1910 Marcus is living with his son-in-law in Causey, New Mexico. He is widowed and 75 years old.[8]
Marcus is buried in Portales Cemetery in Portales, New Mexico.[9]
