Biography

Birth

Patsy was born on 26 May 1934 at Strathearn (Castlemaine Hospital), 11 Mostyn Street, Castlemaine, Victoria, Australia to Victor Delmenico and Daisy Delmenico. At this time, Patsy's father was a railway employee, and had two siblings, Frank Delmenico (3 Years) and Doreen Delmenico (1 Year). They were living in Chewton. [1]

Marriage

Patsy and Edwin James Thompson were married at the Presbyterian Church in Lyttleton Street, Castlemaine on 19th November 1955. At the time of Marriage, Edwin was a Grader Driver with the Shire of Newstead, and Patsy was a Play leader at the Harcourt Pre-School. Both Patsy and Edwin were 21 at the time of marriage. Patsy was living with her parents at 90 Lyttleton Street, Castlemaine, and Edwin was living in Wyndham Street in Newstead. [2]

Employment

Patsy was employed by the Harcourt Pre-School Play Centre from 1st January 1953 to 1st December 1955. [3] Patsy and Edwin worked on a Dairy Farm at Cobden for a number of years. Patsy and Edwin were farmers at Bagshot during the early 60s. Patsy was an early childhood educator at Castlemaine South Kindergarten Patsy was a instructor for First aid for the Australian Red Cross, and Swinburne University. Patsy and Edwin purchased a funeral home in Castlemaine during the sixties, which she worked in until her passing.

Death

Patsy passed away on 23 November 2011 at Castlmeaine Health, Cornish Street, Castlemaine of Acute myocardial Infection. Patsy was buried at the Guildford Cemetery with her late Husband, Edwin the following day surrounded by her family - a strict wish of Patsy. [4]
