Biography

Robert Denison, born 28 Sep 1749 at Stonington, Connecticut, was the fourth child of Ann Swan & Benadam Denison.

Lineage Book (Daughters of the American Revolution) p. 22, no. 48: Vol. 1, Page 22: "Robert Denison was one of the first to march from Connecticut to the relief of Boston in the Lexington Alarm, in Capt. Jewett's company; served in Tenth Company, Sixth Connecticut Regiment, Col. Samuel Holden Parsons; sergeant in Capt. Samuel Mather's company stationed at Fort Trumbull; commanded a detachment to two sergeants, two corporals, and sixteen privates on special duty in that vicinity."

Robert Denison married twice, both at Stonington:

1) about or before 1774 Alice Denison. They had 8 children, including these who died young:
