Biography

Eliza Fish Denison was born 12 Aug 1833 at Stonington, New London County, Connecticut. She was the eighth child of Levina Fish and Isaac Denison ^[1], ^[2].

She married 6 May 1856 at Stonington, Connecticut, Dudley W. Stewart (1822 - 1886). They resided in or near Stonington.

Per the 1870 and 1880 census Eliza (Denison) Stewart resided at North Stonington, New London County, Connecticut.

In 1900 she was living with son Charles, his wife Adah and their sons Evans and Dudley, at Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island.

Eliza Fish (Denison) Stewart died 5 Apr 1909. Funeral at home of her son Charles [also listed as died on 6 Apr], Pawcatuck, New London, Connecticut ^[3]. Her remains were buried 7 Apr 1909 at Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic, Connecticut ^[4].
