John Denne of the Parish of St George in the City of Canterbury, Kent, gentleman, son and heir of Vincent Denne Doctor of Law, wrote his will on 3 June 1610 which mentions:
wife Luce; brother-in-law William Denne of Bishopsbourne [note: married to his sister Jane Denne]; mother Joane Denne, widow; Anne Denne youngest sister; father-in-law Mr Walter Aylesworth; daughters Joane Denne & Luce Denne; youngest son Walter Denne; eldest son Vincent Denne; uncles Mr Edward Aylesworth & John Stocket(?); brothers William, Thomas, Henry & Vincent Denne; messuage with appurts which was Richard Nethersoles’ & which he leased to brother-in-law William Denne & 2 acres arable land in Bromfield in [the parish of] Kingston, Kent.
