Biography

Francois Desmarais was born on 14 Dec 1833 to Francois Desmarais and Marguerite Villebrun dit Plouf. Baptism took place at St. Boniface, Red River the following day.[1]

Francois married Marguerite Cloutier dit Caribou (daughter of Jean Baptiste Cloutier and Josephte Racette) at Assumption Parish, Pembina, Dakota Territory on 7 Jun 1858.[2]
