• MRS. MARY O'RYAN.
• On Saturday, 27th ult., the death occurred of Mrs. Mary O'Ryan. Deceased was the last surviving child of James Devereaux, a pioneer grazier in the Monaro district. She married Jeremiah O'Ryan, who for many years was connected with the Education Department. There were five children of the marriage; John Bede (deceased), Edmund (Ashfield), Josephine (Mrs. O'C. Devereaux, of Cooma;, Mary (Deceased); James (Newcastle). The Last Sacraments were administered by the Very Rev. Father R. Macken, CM. Rev. Father J. Hall, O.M., celebrated the Requiem Mass, after which the remains were borne through the ranks of the students of De La Salle and Bethlehem Colleges. Father Macken officiated at the graveside. On the following Sunday, at Mass, Rev. Father Keenan, CM., voiced a touching tribute to the piety and charity of deceased, and referred to her zeal for all Catholic causes. — R.I. P.
