Eleanor Jessie Dill (married names Kerr then Hicks) was born in 1888 in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of Joseph Dill and Margaret (Frazer) Dill.^{[citation needed]}

She married Thomas Wallace Kerr on 8 June 1914 in Ballarat, Victoria.^{[citation needed]}
