Biography

The Ojibwe Journals of Edmund. F. Ely, 1833-1849, p. 232:

89. Antoine Gaudin was the son of Jean Baptiste Gaudin and an Ojibwe woman, a sister of Hole-in-the-Day. In 1843 he married Sarah Dingley. Their son Philip Gordon was the first Ojibwe Catholic priest. Chippewa Claim 59. Lucius Lyon Papers; Delfield, Indian Priest, 13.[1]
