1911 Census on the 2nd April 1911 John, shown but not named in the census, was living at 6 Wyvil Road, South Lambeth Road, Stockwell, Lambeth, Surrey with his parents John and Emily, and his sisters Emily and Rose. This family unit was staying with his paternal grandfather William (Henry) Dixon and his wife Sarah (Farren) Dixon, and their children Joseph, Edward, Alfred, Annie and Emily.^[2]
