Biography

Joanna Dodge was born at Beverly, Massachusetts Bay, in mid-May of 1745, a daughter of Benjamin Dodge and Elizabeth Dodge. She married a cousin, Israel Dodge, at Beverly in July of 1763, but lived only until about a year later, dying in the fall of 1764. Israel was remarried to Lucy Pickering in June of 1766.
