Biography

Isaac was born on 24 Dec 1824 in Switzerland County, Indiana. He was the first child and first son born to William Dodson and Elizabeth Smith.

His parents had both previously been married with children and recently lost their spouses, so when Isaac was born, he had 4 older brothers and 2 older sisters. His parents went on to have 8 more children, so in all, Isaac had 14 brothers and sisters.

He died on 9 May 1884 in Wyandotte County, Kansas.
