"The Domville family has a well authenticated and unbroken line of descent since the time of the Norman Conquest. The late Gen. Domville was decended from Peter DOMVILLE, Esq. of Lyme who married Margaret CARRINGHEN d/o Sir John CARRINGHEN of Carringhen in the time of Henry VIII, by Ellen WARBURTON, his wife, d/o Sir J. WARBURTON of Airley, by Jane STANLEY, his wife, d/o Sir William STANLEY and a lineal descentant of King Henry III. (see Burke's Royal Descents) His father was in the Navy and served under Admiral NELSON......"

If I'm to understand this correctly:

Lt. Gen. James William Domville (2 Aug 1817-19 Nov 1883) was a descendant of "Peter Domville, Esq. of Lyme who married Margaret CARRINGHEN d/o Sir John CARRINGHEN of Carringhen in the time of Henry VIII, by Ellen WARBURTON."

Peter Domville, Esq. m. Margaret Carringhen.

It appears that Margaret's parents were Sir John Carringhen (of Carrighen) and Ellen Warburton.

Ellen's parents appear to be listed as Sir J. Warburton (of Airley) and Jane Stanley.

Jane's father appears to be Sir William Stanley.
