1917 James marries Elizabeth McDougall Kean at Burlington House, Glasgow After Banns according to the forms of the Established Church of Scotland. Witness to the couples marriage was James Burns and Margaret Kean.^[1]

1928 James mother Agnes Steel Don dies, at 44 Highburgh Drive, Rutherglen, James was informant and present at her death. ^[2]
