Biography

Sarah (Donahue) Griffey was born in Appalachia, in Kentucky.

Sarah Lou Donahue was born in 1900 in Scranton, Menifee, Kentucky, United States, daughter of Arlando Berry Donahue (1868–1951) and Sarah Catharine Staton (1874–1906).

In 1900, Sarah Donohuy (1), was a single daughter, in the household of Berry Donohuy (30) in Magisterial District 3, Menifee, Kentucky, United States. [1]

In 1910, Sarah L Donohew (11), was a single daughter, in the household of Berry A Donohew (42) in Beaver, Menifee, Kentucky, United States. [2]

Sarah (15) married Hiram Cambridge Griffey (23) (born on January 25, 1893 in Frenchburg, Menifee; son of William Henry Griffey and Elizabeth (Wells) Griffey) on February 10, 1916 in Menifee.[3] [4] Their children were:

Sarah died on March 16, 1982 in Middletown, Butler, Ohio, United States, aged 81. She was buried in Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum, Middletown, Butler County, Ohio, USA (plot: Sec: 28 Sec: B Lot: 139 sp: 2).[8] [9]
