Biography

When Ariaantje "Harriet" Doremus was born on June 24, 1809, in Masonicus, New Jersey, her father, Anderis Doremus, was 32, and her mother, Abigail Hopper, was 39. She married Abraham Richard Terhune on September 23, 1826, in Saddle River, New Jersey. They had three children during their marriage. She died on September 10, 1894, having lived a long life of 85 years
