Biography
Deborah Dorsey was born in 1777. According to the Mather genealogy of the LaRues, Deborah was the 2nd great granddaughter of Edward Dorsey I. She first married Hugh McElroy (son of Hugh and Esther Irvine McElroy per ' The Scotch-Irish McElroys), then John Welsh, and then (the 2nd wife of) Jacob LaRue II (and confirmed in Mather history of LaRues).
The LaRue marriage is confirmed for 1797 in the Kentucky County Marriage Records database. She signed an indenture for her father's land as Deborah Welch, 19 Feb 1825, Washington Co KY.
