Biography
Lucinda (Doss) Hampton was born in Alabama.
Lucinda was born in 1822, the daughter of Ezekiel Doss and his first wife, Frances Sarah Thurman. She passed away in 1895.
After the death of his first wife, Lemenda, in 1847, EphraimS Hampton married on 7 Nov 1849, in Lawrence County, Alabama, Lucinda Doss 1822–1895, the daughter of Ezekiel Doss and Frances Thurman. They had four children: Elige N Hampton 1851–1876, Lamender Penolia Hampton 1853–1935, George Washington Hampton 1858–1940, and Claiborn W. E. Hampton 1862–1868.

The children shown on the 1850 census are not the children of Lucinda. They are the children of Lemenda K Hampton, the first wife of Ephraim S Hampton.

These two profiles do match, but please do not merge until I have corrected the parents of Lucinda Doss Doss-433. Her mother was NOT Lucenda Hampton, who was the SECOND wife of Ezekiel Doss. Her mother was Frances (Frances Sarah?) Thurman, and I have not found a source for her, yet.
