Sarah B. Doty was born about 1852 in Butler County, Ohio.[1] She was the daughter of Joseph Doty and his second wife, Nancy Kelly.[2] (See research notes.) Joseph died when Sarah was a child and her mother, now Nancy Doty, married William Enyart[3] with whom Sarah was living in 1860.[4] Sarah married William M. Armstrong was born on September 25, 1868.[6] In 1870, William, Sarah, and Harry are living with Sarah's mother, Nancy Enyart.[7] Also living with them are David Enyart, brother-in-law of Nancy, and Samuel Armstrong, William's brother.[7] Sarah and William's baby Charles Armstrong died in Middletown on April, 1871.[8] Frederick Armstrong is born on November 24, 1872.[9] John Paul is born about 1873.[10] Ada is born on July 16th, 1876.[11] Sarah died just a year after Ada's birth on August 16th, 1877.[12] She is buried in Middletown Cemetery, Middletown (Butler County), Ohio.[1]
