George Reginald Douglas' birth was registered in Newton Abbot, Devon in the fourth quarter of 1868^[1]. He was the son of James Douglas and Emily Harris.

At the time of the 1891 England and Wales Census, James, Emily A, George, Fanny L, and Ethal M Douglas were listed as living in Newton Abbot, Devon, along with James' aunt Mary Douglas and a servant^[2]. At the time of the census, George's occupation was listed as "Tobacconist(Em'ee)".

George's marriage to Mary Slade was registered in Newton Abbot, Devon in the second quarter of 1896^[3].

George died in Edgbaston, Warwickshire on 2 October 1936. His death was registered in Newton Birmingham, Warwickshire in the fourth quarter of 1936^[4].
