Paul (1904) documents the Douglas line and only cites a marriage of to Cunningham. Balfour (1907) documents the Cunningham marriage and cites parentage for this Marion Douglas. Paterson (1852) documents the Dunlop marriage by just mentioning Marion Douglas with no parentage. Neither Balfour or Paterson mention a second marriage for Marion. Only the Peerage indicates this Marion Douglas married both Cunningham and Dunlop. More research would be useful to confirm this is the same Marion. It is seems this should be considered in doubt.
