Biography

This biography is a rough draft. It was auto-generated by a GEDCOM import and needs to be edited.

Research Notes

It seems most probable that it was this Samuel Douse or perhaps his son Samuel Douse who entered into a deed with Henry Dumas.

There's a somewhat different history for Samuel Dowse/ Douse at https://archive.org/details/lawrencedowseofl00dows/page/292/mode/2up

Samuel was certainly in Kerry by 1718 when he leased "Cluhoreen" from Dermot Falvey - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSH3-973C-W?i=40&cat=185720 "Cluhoreen" was Dermot's marriage settlement from his father in law Timothy Falvey, but Timothy also granted his son Michael rights over the land which resulted in litigation after Timothy died in 1718.
