Thomas Dow was born on September 26, 1769 in Ashford, Windham, Connecticut Colony, son of Daniel Dow and Elizabeth (Marsh) Dow.^[1]

Thomas was an agriculturist and justice of the peace. ^[1]

Thomas married Lydia Clark of Woodstock, CT on April 2, 1799 in Eastford, Windham. Together, they had the following known children^[1]:

3. Joseph Clark Dow, b. July 7, 1805
4. Elizabeth Dow
5. Marietta Dow
6. Thomas Kalapon Dow, d. Oct 14, 1846, unmarried.
