Biography

Thomas was born in 1864, his birth registered in Cork, Ireland. ^[1]

On 29th April 1888, in Cork, Ireland, he married Annie Noble. ^{[2] [3]}

In 1891, in Victoria, Australia, they registered the birth of Thomas Noble Down. In 1904, Francis Robert Henry Nicholls Down was born. They had at least one daughter, Birdie Jane.

In 1909, they received Assisted Passage to Queensland. ^[4]

The 1912 Electoral Roll for Brisbane South, Oxley, Queensland, reveals part of the family enrolled at Jones street, Highgate Hill. Thomas Nichols Down is a grocer. Annie and Birdie, home duties, are enrolled at the same address. ^[5]

By 1926, Thomas and Annie had moved to New South Wales. Annie died in 1932.

In 1936, in Sydney, Thomas married Florence Mabel Doueal. ^[6]

He passed away in 1941, aged 77, his death registered at North Sydney, New South Wales. ^[7]
