BLUE HILL – Marilyn Jean Torrey, 76, died June 7, 2007, at Blue Hill Hospital. She was born April 18, 1931, in Blue Hill, the daughter of Ephraim S. and Alice M. (Gerow) Drew. Marilyn taught schools in the Blue Hill area for 35 years. She led the Future Business Leaders of America. She was a wonderful cook, loved her gardening and feeding the birds. She was a caring and loving mother and grandmother. Marilyn attended local churches. She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Torrey and wife, Elizabeth, of Penobscot; grandchildren, Christopher and wife, Jessica, Daniel Torrey and their mother, Bonnie, Kaiya and Meredith Torrey and their mother, Janet; a special niece, Sally Winchenbach of Sedgwick; a special cousin, Phillip Gerow of Milo; as well as many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Charles Torrey in February 2007; and a brother, Harry S. Drew. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. [Bangor Daily News]
