Biography
James was born in 1728.
James was the son of Lemuel Drew & Hannah Barnes. [1]
In 1744, above the age of 14, James made the choice for Nathaniel Barlett of Plymouth to be his guardian in the estate he received from his mother's side.[2]
In 1754, his guardian, Nathaniel Bartlett presented an account of his and his siblings' guardianship to the probate court.[3]
He married Mary Churchill, 1750.

James passed away in 1788.
Probate
James Drew of Plymouth, yeoman died intestate and on 3 June 1788, Nathaniel Lewis, cordwainer, and James Drew, cooper, both of Plymouth, were granted the administration of his estate.[4]
His inventory was taken on 19 June 1788 in Plymouth.[5]
In 1792, his widow Mary received her dower.[6] The remaining estate was set out to his children, James Drew (eldest son), Nathaniel Lewis in right of his late wife Hannah Lewis, decd.,, Mary Drew, Priscilla Tuffts, wife of Jonathan Tufts, Lydia Drew, and Bettsey Lewis Drew (minor daughter of William Drew, decd.). An account of his estate by Nathaniel Lewis was recorded which included debts paid, and administration fees.[7]
In 1803, the widow's dower was set out to the children, James Drew, Mary Drew, Nathaniel Lewis, Priscilla Tufts, wife of Jonathan Tufts, Lydia Cushing, wife of Matthew Cushing, and Elizabeth Lewis Bartlett (daughter of William Drew, decd.), wife of Jesse Bartlett.[8]
