Biography

Book located at Mt. Clemens Library Detroit First American Decade 1796-1805 by F. Clever Bald History & Political Science XVI page 185-6 Mich. Coll. R977.434 On August 16, 1801, as assembly of the members of Ste Anne's decided to build a new church. They named a standing committee on construction consisting of Louis Trembley, Charles Moran, Joseph Cote, Simon Drouillard, Jacques Pelletier & Gabriel Godfroy. These men were instructed to draw up a plan in consultation with builders and to present it to the assembley. A week later "les habitants assembles" agreed to accept the plan which the committee presented. The building was to be106' x 42' wide pledges were open on Sept. 21, they were signed and witness. 44 Souscription pour La Construction d'une Nouvelle Eglise en pierre,Detroit Chancery Archives, I,3. This list covers seven large sheets of paper, which are bound together with ribbon, book shows a sample: which included, Isidore Pelletier, 12 days of work as a mason, worth L74s.
