Biography
Levi Dudley was born in 1753 in Exeter, Rockingham, New Hampshire, British Colonial America He appears on a 1784 Tax Digest in Sampson County.[1] He is listed on the 1790 census[2]
Will
The will of Levi Dudley was recorded in Clinton, Sampson County, North Carolina, in 1808. The will of Levi Dudley mentions his brother, Eden, and his children: Elam, Narmey or Nancy, Lydia, Hepzibah , and his four youngest children (probably minors) named Enoch, Lilli, Jenet and John. Young Keen, who married Levi's daughter Lydia, was a witness to the will, and according to oral and written history they were cousins. [3]
