Biography

Vestina was born in 1855/1856 in Tennessee. ^[1] She was the daughter of Burtin Milla Duncan and .Emaline Jane Young. She passed away in 1943.

In 1870, Vestina N. is 15 years old residing in Liberty, Casey County, Kentucky with her parents Burtin Milla Duncan and Emeline J Duncan. She is listed as being the oldest of 7 children residing in the household. Her brothers and sisters listed are Sampson B, Martha E. James A, Mary A, Owen M and Katherine. Her father Burtin Milla is a farmer.^[2]

She married Burton M. Duncan.^[3]

Additions to the household since the last census are Roland, Craven's brother and 2 nephews Horace 3 1/2 years old and Roland Jr 1-1/2 years old. Both Roland and Craven are now shown as being widowed. Craven is supporting the family as a machinists in an Automobile Garage. ^[7]

In 1930, Vestina has relocated to ... to reside with her son Horace M in Manhattan, Riley, Kansas and his children Janett C and Robert L. Horace is widowed and supporting the family as an engineer on a railway. ^[8]
