James Densmore and Letitia Moore and young family came over from Londonderry, Northern Ireland in the mid to late 1760's to Mantua, Newport, Hants County, Nova Scotia.
1780 Colchester County, Nova Scotia. Surveyor's Report 1500 Acres, Cobequid Bay, "Now called Colchester". Bounded in parts by land granted to Dr. Archibald and to Mungo Campbell. "Grant made". Sale proceeds from this grant may have been used in attaining land in Noel. Hants County where the family eventually settled.

1795 Noel, Hants County, Nova Scotia Poll Tax recorded James Densmore Sen. 0 Cattle 0 Sheep 0 Horse 1 S.
They obtained large tracts of land in Noel, Hants County, Nova Scotia and settled there.
Many of their descendants still own property and live in that area.
