Biography
Capt. Joseph Dykeman served with 3rd Regiment, Dutchess County Militia, New York Militia during the American Revolution.
Joseph Dykeman is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A035041.
Joseph was born abt 1737 In Fairfield County, CT. 25 May 1757 he married Eunice Darling in Redding CT. He was a Captain in Fields Company, 3rd regiment Dutchess county NY Militia. Joseph married Elizabeth Smith after Eunice died in 1778. Joseph died in 1822. He is buried in the Drewsville cemetery, which was flooded for the Croton Dam.
