Fran Woolson, 89 passed away early Thursday morning at her home in Victoria following a short illness. She was born in Sherman, Texas in 1927. She graduated from Patti Welder High School in 1944 after which she attended Sullins College in Virginia. She later transferred to the University of Texas in Austin where she graduated with a degree in business in 1949. While at UT she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.

Fran married Bob Woolson in 1955 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage until his death in 2012. Shortly after her marriage the couple moved to Europe where Bob was serving in the United States Air Force. When WW II ended, they moved back to Victoria where Bob was stationed at Foster Field until his retirement.

Together, they started Woolson Real Estate where Fran put her business degree to work. Fran also served her community as a member of the Bronte Club, the Junior Service League and the Salvation Army Advisory Board. She was a founding member of Westminster Bible Church (Fellowship Bible Church) and later Grace Community Bible Church. Her love for the Lord also led her to join and teach with the Community Bible Study.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Margaret Dysart, and her husband Bob Woolson. She is survived by her two sons, Bruce Woolson, wife Elaine, and grandsons David and Bradley and her son Wade Woolson, wife Sara, and grandson James.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 11th, 6:00-7:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at Rosewood Funeral Chapel, Monday September 12th, at 10:00am.
