SALINEVILLE - Lawrence Earl, 69, of 505 Jefferson St. died Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Salem Community Hospital, where he had been a patient a few hours. He had suffered a long illness.

He was born Feb 11, 1910, in Salineville, the son of the late Emmor and Sarah Beadnell Earl. he was a retired machine operator with the Deming Division of the Crane Co. in Salem.

He was a member of the Church of Christ in Salineville, where he had been a deacon 40 years, and of the Loyal Men's Club and the Highlandtown Grange.

He is survived by his wife, the former Doris Stoen whom he married in 1931; two daughters, Mrs. Homer (Eulalee) Barcus of Dover and Mrs. Joseph (Vonie) DiGenova of Delaware; a son, Robert Earl of Lisbon; two sisters, Mrs. Homer (Marybelle) Boals of Salineville and Mrs. Wilbert (Mildred) Hertel of Salem; two brothers, James Earl and Harold Earl, both of Salineville; and six grandchildren.

Two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ of Salineville with Mike Hazelton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lisbon Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Kerr Funeral Home of Salineville Tuesday afternoon and evening.
