Biography

Gibson Earp was born about 1828 in Benton County, Tennessee.^[1] He is listed on the same page as his Uncle Cullen Nowell and two first cousins James and Addison Nowell. He was the son of Irvin Earp and Alcey or Alsey Pearce, the only Earps in Benton County at the time. Patsey Pearce, deceased, was the sister of Alsey Pearce and also the first wife of Cullen Nowell.

Gibson married Ammy Burn on 11 Dec 1851 in Benton County, Tennessee.^[2] He disappears sometime after the marriage and before the 1860 Census.
