Biography

Robert (the father) "died in 1604 having devised his estates to his son Richard Eyton for life. On Richard's death without issue the manor passed to his uncle William Eyton (d. 1612); William was succeeded by his nephew Philip Eyton (kt. 1619), who obtained general livery in 1614." [1]

From the above we know Richard Eyton died after the 1604 death of his father and before the 1612 death of William. The estate being spoken of was in Shropshire.

I suspect the Reverend was left over from previous conflation.

Hatton-436 and Eaton-4736 do not represent the same person because: These are two different people.

I will be converting all of these Eaton profiles to Eytons since that is thhe family they are connected to and the family to which the various wives belong. The references on this profile are all junk and have nothing to do with the families involved.

There is an error on this profile. Richard Eaton married Elizabeth Sheapheard, not Elizabeth Fink. And he did not have a son with the last name of Hatton. Looking at the biography it is a mixture of two men. Richard Eaton and Richard Hatton.

This is a work in progress. If anyone knows why Rev Eaton son's last name is Hatton please let me know.
