James was born i11 Oct 1863 in Armadale, West Lothian, Scotland. James was the child of Esau Edwards and Margaret Bryce. [1]
In 1871 James was a scholar. He was living at 10 Gillespie Street, Armadale, Bathgate, West Lothian[2]
In 1881 James was living at Linlithgow Road Back, Edward's Land in Armadale. He was a coal miner.[3]
James married Elizabeth Brown 31 Dec 1884 in Armadale, West Lothian, Scotland.
In 1891 James was living at 60 East Main Street, Armadale with his wife and three children. He was a coal miner.[4]
In 1901 James was living at 101 East main Street, Armadale with his wife and nine children. He was a coal miner.[5]

James Edward's was my greatgrandfather. His son James Edwsrds was my grandfather and his son,my father, was also James Edwards He is buried in Boghall cemetery Bathgate and his wifes surname was Brown.
