Ellin (Edwards) Pratt was born in Stone, Staffordshire, England.

Ellin Edwards was born in Staffordshire about 1757. Ellin Edwards was baptised at Stone, Staffordshire on 24 April 1757, the daughter of William Edwards and Mary Parker.^[1] The eldest of three, Ellin Edwards had one brother and one sister.

Ellin Edwards, daughter of William Edwards and Mary Parker, married William Pratt, son of Thomas Pratt and Elizabeth Heath on 15 April 1776 at Stoke Upon Trent, Staffordshire.^[2] They had 7 children.^[3]

Ellen's husband William passed away in 1799.
