Sir Richard Egerton was the son of Sir Ralph Egerton and he lived at Ridley, Cheshire, England. He was also known as Ralph.

In 1528, Richard Egerton was admitted to Gray's Inn.^[1]

He had a liaison with Alice Sparke, which resulted in an illegitimate child:
