Biography

She was baptised 26/4/1840 at Warburton Cheshire.

She became Mother Kate of St Saviours Priory Haggeston East London which was established in 1856. Haggerton’s St Saviour’s Priory on the Queensbridge Road is an Anglican religious community of women belonging to the Society of St Margaret. The Society of St Margaret was founded in 1855 at East Grinstead (UK) by the Anglican cleric Rev. John Mason Neale (1818–66).

By 1861 she was listed as Katherine A E Warburton age 21, and had become a Sister of Mercy living at St Margaret's House, East Grinstead, Sussex.

In 1881 she was head of the Sisters of Mercy living in Shoreditch, Hackney.

In 1891 she was age 51 and living at St Saviours Priory head of the Sisters of Mercy, Shoreditch Hackney. Her sister Eleanor is also living there as a worker.

In 1901 she was still a Sister of Mercy living in Brighton.

She died age 83.
