Mary Ellenwood was born April 3 1743, the daughter of Andrew Ellenwood and Elizabeth Wallis of Beverly, Mass[1][2]
On December 25, 1764, she married Henry Coggins, the son of Josiah Coggins of Mary Heard of Tewksbury[3][2][4], who was an early settler of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia[5][6][7]
In 1773, Yarmouth records indicate that they had 3 sons and two daughters[5], which possibly included:
Henry, who married Sarah Crosby, daughter of Lemuel Crosby and Sarah Wing of Barrington[8], and Yarmouth[9]
Anna, who married Henry Higgins of Mount Desert (Digby) on September 20, 1791 [9]
Sarah, who married Peter Raymond in Digby on May 9, 1797[10].
This family also had interests in Maine. On December 10, 1782, Henry Coggin of Frenchman's Bay, Lincoln County, Maine, with the consent of his wife Mary, sold their interests in her father's estate to Robert Haskell[2]
