John Ellis is Notable.

John Ellis was born in 1874 at Rochdale in Lancashire, ^[1] son of hairdresser, Joseph James Ellis and his wife, Sarah Dawson. ^[2]

He was working in a cotton mill when, on the 20th of April 1895 aged 20, he married 22 year old Annie Beaton Whitworth. ^[3] In 1901 they were living at 398 Oldham Road, Rochdale with their two children, Sarah and Joseph James. ^[4]

He passed away in 1932. Administration of his estate was granted to Annie on the 13th of June 1933. ^[5]
