Biography

Son of David Meeks Elms and Malinda Ann "Molly" O'NEAL.

He came from a large family one of eleven.

Henry's parents moved the family to Washington County, TX in 1850. Henry's family moved again to Coryell County in 1856.

He continued living at home until the Civil War when he enlisted December 3rd 1861 in the Confederate Army with Capt. Bradford. He was a member of a Company F, Sixth Regiment, Texas Volunteer Infantry C.S.E. He served for the duration of the war and was discharged March 1, 1865.

He married Frances Maturie Craig, July 14th 1868 in Coryell county Texas.

They moved to Oklahoma around 1890's.

Henry Elms enlisted in the Confederate Army and was a member of Company F, Sixth Regiment.
